The AI team

Hire experts, not an assistant

18 roles across engineering, product, marketing and operations — each one built for a single job and already trained in its craft. Tell the Lead what your business needs; it brings in the teammate whose job it is, or several, and they get on with it. No interviews, no onboarding, no notice periods.

How a request becomes done work

  1. 1

Ask, assign, or let it pick up

Chat with the Lead, assign a task on the board to a teammate (or to the Lead), or point a workflow at your backlog.

  2. 2

    The right teammate takes it

Work goes to the role whose job it is. If all of that role’s members are busy, it waits in their line — at their desk.

  3. 3

    They work with real tools

Engineers in a sandboxed copy of your repo; product and content teammates on your board, docs and CMS — only what their job allows.

  4. 4

    Risky steps wait for you

Publishing, sending or deleting needs your approval, right on the task or in the office.

  5. 5

The result lands where you work

A pull request, a comment on the task, a sprint on the board, a draft in WordPress — with what they did and why.

  6. 6

    You see it all

Each teammate’s state is live in the office, and every run keeps a full log you can open later.

Make the team yours

Team size per role

Two backend engineers and one of everything else? Set it. Headcount is how many tasks each role works on at once.

Skills you can edit

Each role ships with skills. Turn off what you don’t want and add your own — your conventions, your tone, your checklists.

Working hours

A teammate starts work only during its hours, in your timezone. Running work is never interrupted.

Names and faces

Name your teammates and give them pictures; they show up that way on the board, in comments and in the office.

Meetings with outcomes

A host runs sprint planning, retros or stand-ups; the agenda is covered, a sprint is created and action items go to owners.

Spend you can see

Every AI call is metered per teammate. Set a monthly budget; new work stops before it’s crossed.

AI teammates take on well-defined work and you review what they deliver — they aren’t a one-for-one replacement for experienced people. Salaries: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, May 2025 medians; benefits and payroll costs add ~30% (BLS). Hiring: SHRM 2025.

Questions

What makes them “experts” and not just a chatbot?

Each role is built for one job, with its own tools, the right model tier for the job and built-in skills written for that job — WCAG 2.2 for the Frontend Engineer, OWASP Top 10 for the Backend Engineer, ISTQB test design for QA, PRD and prioritisation practice for the Product Manager, E-E-A-T and on-page SEO for the SEO Specialist. They can only use the tools their job needs, and the Lead brings in whoever else a request needs — the way a real team works.

Can I teach them how we work?

Yes. Every role’s skills can be switched off, and you can add your own: your branch naming, your definition of done, your story template, your tone of voice, your checklists. They apply to every chat and every job that teammate runs.

How many can work at once?

Headcount is per role — up to 5 of each, depending on your plan. Two Backend Engineers work two tasks at the same time. If every member of a role is busy, new work waits in their line, and you can see it in the office.

Do they work at night?

Only if you want them to. Set working hours per teammate in your timezone; work starts only during those hours, and anything already running is never cut off. By default they’re always on.

Can I pick which teammates I have?

Yes — during onboarding, or any time later. Build your team from the four departments, rename them, set headcount per role, and give each member a name and a picture. Only the teammates on your team appear anywhere in the app.
